This was a memorable thought shared by Recovery Café’s Founding Director, Killian Noe, at a previous Standing in the Gap:

“To turn our back on the suffering in our midst is to deny the oneness of the human family. We deny that oneness at our own peril, and at the risk of losing our very souls. The trap for many of us is obvious.  As our salary has increased so has our desire for more. We struggle with putting a cap on our ever-escalating desires for more; even though, none of us have ever seen a hearse pulling a U-haul. Our challenge is to keep our needs simple enough to share generously our time, money, and other resources; to let go and trust.”

Thank you for making the 2017 Standing in the Gap, our Education of the Heart, Friend and Fundraising Event a great success!
