If you are a parent or family member of a person struggling with addiction, whether an adult or an adolescent, this group may be a life-saver. Having a loved one struggling with addiction and/or other mental health challenges can feel isolating. While we don’t have all the answers, each of us has learned a lot on our own journeys.  You are welcome to check us out and see if our group feels like a good fit for you.

Our Meeting Format and Expectations

After a brief check-in, the facilitator introduces a topic of general interest to the group. A portion of the meeting is devoted to circle-sharing and another to peer-strategizing. At our meetings, parents work together to form plans to change the dynamics in their homes.

You can expect to both share and listen. What we share remains within the group.

How We Help Each Other

Even though you may feel alone, you are not. There are many other parents that need support while struggling with finding order in their lives and wanting the best for their children. This peer-facilitated group offers a space for that affirmation and support. We also help connect one another with other resources outside the group.

We all have stories and we all have inner strengths that we have yet to discover. In coming to the Parent Support Group, you may find out just how much you are needed, just how much we can help you, and just how strong you already are. Ultimately, our experience shows that we all know what is right for ourselves and our own situations.

Joining the Group

There is no membership process, you can just show up. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact Killian Noe or call 206-374-8731.
