Become a part of our community by volunteering!

Volunteers help hold the spirit of Recovery Café by nurturing a sense of loving community and a culture of recovery for everyone who comes through our doors. We welcome you to share your time and gifts with the Recovery Café community.

Read the descriptions below and fill out the Volunteer Interest Form to get started.

Café Companions

Café Companions provide the gift of presence to our community. This crucial volunteer role is the embodiment of the Café’s mission of healing and transformation. Sharing a meal, playing a card game or listening with an open-heart offers both Members and Volunteers the opportunity to awaken to our shared humanity. This role is a portal through which all Volunteers enter the Café community.

Looking for a Group Volunteer opportunity?

We welcome both youth* and adult groups of 8-10 individuals for special projects, such as landscaping, administrative tasks, deep cleaning, or creative projects. We will coordinate with your group to design your unique experience at Recovery Café by balancing your service work with Café Companionship, often through shared meals with Members of Recovery Café.

*All volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must have a Youth Permission to Participate form completed by a parent or guardian.

Open Mic Nights

On the third Saturday of each month, Recovery Café invites the Café community to share their talent for song, poetry, dance, and creative expression. During this entertaining evening, Volunteers treat Members to a plated homemade meal. We are looking for groups of 10-12 volunteers to prepare this special meal off-site and then bring it to Recovery Café to serve to Members.
